01Summary

What the report argues

The corridor is not closed. It is being repriced — and price is policy. War-risk premiums, diversion shares and naval deployments are moving together for the first time since 2024, and the combination is redrawing who uses the strait, at what cost, and under whose protection.

This report maps the repricing mechanism end to end: from underwriting decisions in London to routing decisions on bridges to berthing decisions in regional ports, and sets out the narrow but real window in which regional policy can shape the outcome.
